a whole lot of cookbook

This book has a lot of engine type descriptions as well as engine component descriptions that will be very useful for the student or the engine enthusiast trying ot advance his/her knowledge. Many different types of engines are described from many different manufacturers, lots of them european. This book is good for learning about engine and engine operation but is not detailed enough for engine design (it is not heavy on the math). there are a lot of rules of thumb for engine component modifications (such as manifold design) which may be useful for someone enhancing a performance engine but for the engine tuner, there is very little information that applies (electronic spark advance theories for example are sorely lacking while too many pages are used to describe electronic components theory of operation). this book is the best and most modern tutorial available today however.

Dated, but great reference for engine balancing

This book is older now, so not all of the technology is necessarily up to date. However, the section on engine balance is excellent, and I actually purchased this book specifically for that reason. It goes into better detail about several crankshaft configurations and how they are balanced, better than many other books on the subject.

A true winter warmer!

Harry and Suzie are back.

And along with them comes extra doses of romance, I mean big gushy swoon worthy proposals that will have you saying awww, whilst scribbling the idea in a notebook ready to hand out to Mr/Miss Right.

I’ve always thought I wouldn’t want a big proposal but with every proposal that Holly Martin describes I find myself falling for the romance of it all.

I love the idea of a flash mob proposal or a Harry Potter one, the truth is that Martin describes these events with so much love and romance that even the most cynical amongst us will start to believe in love.

As much as I loved One Hundred Proposals for bringing Harry and Suzie into my life, I find the magic of Christmas has made this novella a favourite with me.
In fact before writing this review I have read it three times and the main reason for this is, that this is a book that really does lighten your mood and warm your heart

I didn’t think it was possible but I fell even more in love with the characters
Harry is as lovable as ever and it’s clear to see that he is head over heels in love with Suzie.
The couple are blissfully happy and with their happiness comes some incredible proposals.
The only downside of their job is that nearly all their time is spent planning proposals and now Suzie is starting to wonder if they will ever get round to planning their wedding.

Then to add to the pandemonium Christmas is looming, Harry is acting strange, Badger has an announcement and Suzie’s parents are planning a visit.

I loved the fact that we got to meet Suzie’s parents, (although we were introduced to them via phonecalls in One Hundred Proposals) they certainly leave a lasting impression.
I love her dad and the closeness that he and Suzie share.

This wonderful novella shares so much with us.
We have the incredible love story that is Harry and Suzie, the drama that is the visit from her parents and to top it all off we are also reunited with Badger and Jules.

Oh I do love Badger and Jules, I hope that we will get their story. I beg you Holly to write their story, the chance to discover more about them would be a real treat.
I also think Jules has the best way of coping with stress, anyone for more cake?

The truth is I could go on and on about this story but I need to remember it’s a novella and that you all will read it, because let’s face it, you would be silly not to. For this is a story full of happiness, magic and romance.

One Hundred Christmas Proposals is a continuing story that started with the first book. I had not read the first. While I was able to follow along with the story, there were times I felt that I was missing something especially with Jack’s passing but wasn’t sure exactly what. Therefore, I would now recommend this as a follow up after reading the first book, One Hundred Proposals by Holly Martin.

In this novella, Susie seems to be a very normal twenty something woman. I found this amazing given the mother that she has. On the other hand, Harry with his unconditionally love needs came across clingy more than romantic for some of the book. At the story progressed, I came to understand his issues and even to admire that him, and being able to see why Susie was so in love with him.

Of course, the secondary story really needs its own book, which I hope that Badger, Jules and Bella will get, or maybe they did in the first book that I missed.

I extremely enjoyed reading One Hundred Proposals that I expected this book would also have the same effect on me. But since Harry had already proposed to Suzie, what’s in store for them now? This sequel had brought a mixture of sadness and excitement to me. Sad because it’s shorter since it’s a novella, but also excited because Harry and Suzie’s love story continues on! Moreover, it’s Christmas-themed! I just wished I had read this sooner as it might have just livened up my Christmas spirit more.

It was seen here that the PR stunt Harry pulled off was a huge success. As such, they pursued another batch of one hundred proposals set during the Christmas season. The only thing different here was instead of focusing the proposals on Harry and Suzie, it was now the clients’ turn to get the limelight. This different approach done by Holly Martin made the book even more interesting to read. I love how Harry recounted their clients’ proposals through his blog. This allowed readers to get a glimpse of the couples’ love story and how each proposal incorporated one memory or significant object that was meaningful to their relationship. I must say, the proposals were diverse, unique, and memorable. It was also fun to read the reactions of the ladies.

But of course, Holly Martin still centered her story on Harry and Suzie’s relationship. After the proposal in the previous book, Suzie prepared herself for a transition to the next chapter of her life, that is, marriage. I admired how Harry and Suzie’s chemistry remained strong and intact. Likewise, Harry would go extra miles to prove how much he extremely loved Suzie. It was so sweet and definitely swoon-worthy to the point of me hoping someone like Harry would exist in reality and be my guy!

Overall, One Hundred Christmas Proposals did not disappoint. It was a bit predictable, but this did not stop me from enjoying the book. Despite just being a novella, One Hundred Christmas Proposals was a great and satisfying follow-up to One Hundred Proposals. Holly Martin wrote another wonderful, romantic story that will make readers fall in love with love again. Aside from it being a love story, this book also became a significant life-changing moment to Suzie. She definitely grew and matured as a person, as she was able to improve and strengthen her relationship not just with Harry, but with her family and friends. And best of all, I believed the 100th Christmas proposal deserved its position as the priceless closing scene of the book. Holly Martin surely knows how to make an emotional ending that will leave readers craving for more. Nuff said.

Pese a su tama�o, �ste es un gran libro.
No s� si por que est� escrito de vicio, por lo que cuenta, por c�mo lo cuenta o simplemente porque los derroteros de Hugo, el protagonista y los m�os, han ido muy de la mano; me enganch� desde el principio a la lectura de "Tengo una idea mejor".

About the Author
Rodney Womack is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA, and has been a coach of several different sports for over 25 years. Besides coaching, he has won world and national titles in the bench press (WABDL) and raced motocross since 1971. In addition to coaching, Womack currently operates an internet business devoted to training athletes for motocross at www.motoxfitness.com. He has published three training books: Motocross Fitness: The Ultimate Home Training Guide for Motocross Athletes, The Power of Pushups: Over 50 Types of Pushups for Strength and Endurance, and Arm Pump Solutions: How to Reduce Arm Pump Through Stretching and Exercise. Very comprehensive workout

Most people don't realize that motocross IS a sport, and a very physically demanding one at that. Even a rider who doesn't compete much needs to be in really good shape if s/he want to enjoy riding at all and avoid injury. This book has everything a rider needs to prepare for riding at any level, including aspiring professionals, if that's their goal. Very demanding, but not impossible to follow. Frankly, anyone who wants to be in top physical shape would do well to use this book.

Great work by the author. You have to recognize the initiative, its probably the only publication of its kind out there thats this specific. Sure, some people may have a different approach but it just enriches our sport. Good job.

Overall, this collection of stories is solidly disturbing. They could, however, stand a good look from a professional proofreader, because as the collection progressed, the number of mistakes seemed to increase.

Vincent Vena Cava has once again put his stamp on the horror genre. His unique and chilling tale "Picture This" puts the concept of Internet bullying into frightening perspective. And as usual, it has that quintessential Vincevt Vena Cava twist ending. Just when you feel you've figured out what will happen in the end, you find out you could not have been more wrong. I love this aspect of his writing. Not only does it make his stories interesting and unpredictable, but it really highlights his forethought and imagination. I have no doubt that his unique writing and creative stories will soon put him at the forefront of the genre. The whole anthology is filled with wildly creative stories that will not disappoint.

About the Author
Dr. Kelvin Erickson is a Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Missouri University of Science & Technology (Missouri S&T). His major expertise is in the area of factory automation and process control. He has over 30 years experience with PLC and DCS systems. He was a software design engineer at Fisher Controls for 6 years prior to joining the faculty of the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri S&T), in 1986. In 1997, he was on a sabbatical leave at a control system integrator, working on software development for PLC, DCS, and HMI projects. Since 1991, he has taught regular college courses and short courses on programming for Rockwell Automation, Modicon, and Siemens PLCs and Wonderware HMI software. In addition, he co-authored a textbook entitled Plantwide Process Control.
