Great starting point for thinking of how to structure your wedding ceremony

This is a great starting place for newly engaged couples who are beginning to think about how they want to structure their wedding ceremony. It includes several samples of ceremony formats, as well as biblical readings and other material. You may think you know how to structure a wedding ceremony, since you undoubtedly have been to several weddings in your lifetime, but when I sat down to look at options for the ceremony, I didn't quite remember the specifics of wedding ceremonies I had witnessed, and wasn't sure where to start. This book is great for getting an idea of the cadence of the ceremony and different options for readings.
The majority of the material is religious-focused, so if you are looking to have a non-religious ceremony, don't expect this book to have your perfect ceremony listed in it. But even if you are planning a religious ceremony, you'll want to look through other books and not limit yourself to only this one when personalizing your ceremony.

An old-fashioned book is much easier to use for this sort of thing than an online search

This book made planning our ceremony fun and interesting. We picked what we liked from various sections and organized everything in the proper order. My fiancé thinks I'm a genius for finding it. We sat on the couch with coffee, both looking through the book. It was much nicer than lurking over a computer or tablet, switching from page to page. Kind of old fashioned, but more cozy and intimate than doing an online search for information.

Great resource

A couple of friends asked me to perform their ceremony, and who can say no to a request like that? I had never performed one before, and this book is one of the resources I turned to. I greatly enjoyed using it to help get a feel for what to say during the ceremony. However, it's more of a resource for people planning their own ceremonies than for someone who wants to perform one for someone else. Still, I found some of the phrasing in here helpful for the vows and other parts of the ceremony. I'd recommend this to people who are looking for ways to customize their own ceremonies.
